Steven Santa Cruz began his upholstery journey in the early 1980s, training through the AVC Auto Upholstery program and continuing his education at Phoenix College to master modern techniques and professional-grade sewing equipment. Over the years, his passion for design, fabrication, and creative problem-solving shaped the foundation of what Santa Cruz Auto Upholstery is today.
As a family-owned shop—run by Steven, Ruby, and their son Isaac—we take pride in treating every vehicle like our own. From selecting the right materials to perfecting every stitch, our focus is on delivering high-quality interiors that stand up to Arizona’s heat and exceed customer expectations.

Absolutely. Steve completed award-winning interiors, including a 1979 Caprice Classic that won Best Interior at a car show, a 1973 Chevy Cheyenne Super Truck featuring his first biscuit tuck with buttons, and custom Harley Davidson seats.
